Valentine's
Day always falls on February 14, and is the traditional day on which lovers in
certain cultures let each other know about their love, commonly by sending
Valentine's cards, which are often anonymous. The history of Valentine's day
can be traced back to an obscure Catholic Church feast day, said to be in honor
of Saint Valentine, are discussed below. The day's associations with romantic
love arrived after the High Middle Ages, during which the concept of romantic
love was formulated.
Some legends
go back to erotic festivals in ancient Rome that happened to take place during
February. Women would dress up as wolves and wait to be whipped by men wearing
loin cloths. Today in Italy and Greece, young men still chase young women while
brandishing whips - made of plastic. The Lupercalia (February 15), was a
fertility festival until 495 A.D., when a pope put a stop to it.
Check This Out: I am blessed to say my
husband has recovered and was released back to work after having Mohrs Surgery followed
by a one-step rhinoplasty surgery. This has weighed on our minds, hearts, and
souls since December, and are thankful for the results and care he received. We
celebrated yesterday (Valentine’s Day) by spending the entire day with each
other away from the confinement of our home. So I hope that you will forgive me
for the lateness of this newsletter.

My inspiration for Melt My Heart was a call by my publisher, The Wild Rose Press. They asked for books that revolved around candy heart sayings, so I did some research found Melt My Heart and built the book around it. It took some time, but I thought about what kind of hero would melt my heroine's heart.
I played with ideas, brainstormed with my critique group, and came up with Lexi and Gabriel. Because I pretty much don't plot my books out, I just started writing. By the time I was done, I knew I had to change the beginning of the book, and show more how my characters grow and change.
I had a lot of fun writing the book because it challenges me to think outside the box.
Veterinarian
Lexi Mallory wants to submit to the sexy new Dom from the club, but trauma
from her past keeps getting in the way. It's a good thing Gabriel Huntington
has a special way with difficult subs and sees the gorgeous Lexi as a
delicious challenge. Unfortunately, Lexi fears her inability to relinquish
control will finally test Gabriel's patience and he'll end their contract.
Can Lexi lower her barriers and allow Gabriel's touch to melt her heart?
